Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic individual to serve as our Youth and Family Engagement Coordinator. This role involves curating engaging recreational, social, and cultural experiences for children from pre-K to 12th grade within our community. Responsibilities include building meaningful relationships with youth, overseeing programming for diverse age groups, designing enriching and culturally significant activities, collaborating with the Director of Lifelong Learning on educational initiatives, and instilling a deep passion for Jewish culture and community life.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with creativity and a collaborative spirit, along with a minimum of an associate degree, intermediate to advanced knowledge of Judaism, and experience in Jewish communal work or related areas.

Availability required during evenings and weekends.

Part of the general leadership and working team of professional staff
General Responsibilities:
● Develop an annual schedule of activities for children from Pre-K to 12th Grade.
● Coordinate and lead weekly activities for diverse age groups.
● Organize monthly off-site activities and excursions.
● Facilitate monthly family-oriented events.
● Conduct weekly activities for Early Childhood, Gesher (Afternoon School), and Hebrew School.
● Coordinate the B'nai Mitzvah Club in collaboration with the Senior Rabbi.
● Supervise Madrichim in Training (MIT) during their activities in Hebrew School.
● Plan and run end-of-year trips and recreational activities for teens.
● Facilitate monthly meetings with the teenage board to strategize their activities.
● Engage in outreach efforts to involve uninvolved teens and families.
● Establish communication channels for parents to disseminate information about activities.
● Initiate regular calls to both active and inactive families to foster strong relationships.
● Maintain a relationship and communication with our college students.
● Participate in community events to establish connections with diverse families.
● Develop a balanced program covering social, cultural/educational, worship, and social justice aspects.
● Grow relationships and look for collaboration with other youth groups in the community.
